Alice & Fabio
A Design of Love
After years spent together, Fabio and I finally decided to take the big step towards marriage, uniting our lives in an eternal bond. To celebrate this significant moment, I dedicated all my energy and creativity to designing the graphics that would accompany our special day. We wanted our logo to be enclosed in a harmonious shape where our names would elegantly intertwine.
After many sketches created with a brush pen, I found the perfect synthesis of style and sentiment. I transformed the initial idea into a vector design, capturing the essence of our bond in a fluid and continuous line, representing the indissoluble union of our lives, encased within a heart. In the monogram, our two initials intertwine to form the symbol of infinity.
For the invitations, I chose the noble art of Letterpress, an ancient technique that has come back into vogue for its ability to give paper an enduring elegance. The friends at Tipografia Pesatori accompanied me on this creative journey with dedication and care. In the photos, you can appreciate the final result: on soft paper, the embossed letters and graphics can be felt to the touch, while the colors create unique effects in each invitation, making it truly special.
Each invitation was not just an invite but a personal message, meant for all the people we wanted by our side on that day. That’s why I hand-wrote each name with Sumi Ink, using two different nibs: the Brause 361 for more pronounced contrast and the Nikko-G for a softer touch. Each stroke carried a piece of our hearts, and every envelope was designed to honor our guests.
To share more details about the ceremony and our honeymoon with our loved ones, we created a website that told a bit of our story. For our honeymoon, we chose distant and enchanting places like Peru, Bolivia, and Chile — destinations we had dreamed of for a long time and wanted to explore together.
The same attention to detail was reflected in every element of our wedding: from the graphics of the civil ceremony booklet to the wedding favor —a bottle of Moscato di Scanzo, artisanally produced by Fabio’s father and uncle — that we wanted to give our guests as a memento of the big day. And for the Tender Hearts of family and friends, we thought of a small but useful accessory that would be a sweet reminder of our special day.
