Design for Education
A Journey Through Pedagogy and Innovation
Design for Education is a profound exploration of the connection between the world of design and the realm of education, a continuous dialogue that has shaped the way we learn and teach. This relationship extends beyond just school furniture to encompass educational objects and tools, developed in response to specific pedagogical methodologies. Each tool tells a story of evolution and adaptation, reflecting the changes in teaching and learning techniques over time.
In collaboration with Daniela Maurer, the project's curator, five illustrated panels were created to explore the fundamental themes of Writing, Erasing, Calculating, Transporting, and Teaching. These panels are not just graphic representations but true bridges between past and present. Through a chronological journey, the displayed objects bring to mind the tools that accompanied previous generations, relating them to those used by the new, creating a visual and conceptual dialogue between tradition and modernity.
The exhibition thus becomes an opportunity to reflect on how design has influenced and continues to influence the world of education, providing not only a historical context but also a basis for imagining the future of educational tools. Here is a more detailed article on the exhibition to delve deeper into the journey through the evolution of school tools.
